Hyderabad: A woman from Mahbubnagar who was tortured by the Arab Sheiks for six months in Saudi has finally returned to city on Tuesday.

Ayesha Bi(45), a native of Mahbubnagar was residing at Lalapet in the city. On trusting Gouse, a broker in the area, Ayesha has gone to Saudi Arabia six months ago on a hope that she can earn more money. Gouse has told her that a family will pay her Rs18000 per month for the household chores and he appointed her as a house maid to the family.

After a month's work in the country, the Sheikh family refused to pay the amount and apart from that they tortured her by not giving food and not allowing her to sleep. Unable to bear the harassment, she however escaped from their house, but the sheikh's family traced her and confined her in a room where they tortured her repeatedly.

Ayesha however managed to inform the matter to her brother and a social activist in Saudi, who rescued her with the help of city police and brought her back to Hyderabad. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Ayesha thanked the police for helping and bringing back her to the city.
