Hyderabad: The latest buzz in the Telugu film industry about the much-awaited Puri Jagannadh and Vijay Devarakonda film, is that director Puri has already locked the title of the new film.

Based on certain reports co- producer and actress Charmme has registered the title at the Film Chamber of Commerce. And the title is 'Fighter'.

Puri who is currently riding the success wave after delivering a blockbuster movie- iSmart Shankar starring Ram Pothineni, Nabha Natesh and Nidhhi Agarwal in the lead roles, had made an official announcement regarding his next project. Much to the delight of Vijay Devarakonda's fans, Charmee had posted in her social media account that they would be producing a movie with none other than the young and talented Dear Comrade actor, Vijay Deverakonda.

Charmee Kaur tweeted, "It's OFFICIAL!!! PC proudly announced our next project with one n only Vijay Deverkonda directed by our Puri Jagannadh ..Lavanya presentation under the banner PURI CONNECTS and PURI JAGANNADH TOURING TALKIES...More details coming soon .. till than stay tuned !!! Urs Charmee kaur. [sic]"

Shortly after that there was also a photograph floating in social media where Puri Jagannadh and Vijay Devarakonda were seen together scouting for locales for the new film.

Now the actual news of interest in their joint collaboration is, as to who would be the heroine in this film. Rumour mills are running overtime that late actress Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor could be the heroine. News is that talks are on to get her on board, but there is no official confirmation about the same.

Fans of Sridevi are also curious to know if Janhvi Kapoor would make her Telugu debut especially after she sent feelers through Karan Johar's programme Koffee With Karan. When she was asked a question that if she were to wake up as male actor one day, whom would it be and why. She was quickly replied -Vijay Devarakonda and that she would like do with a film with him and agreed to the fact that the Telugu actor was sexy.

It is said that Puri Jagannadh is currently busy in the script work and the movie might go for shoot in the month of January 2020 after the pre-production formalities are completed. As of now we need to wait for a confirmation about both the title and the heroine!
