After the blockbuster success of RRR, all eyes are on young tiger NTR's latest film Devara. This marks his second collaboration with director Koratala Siva. Earlier, they worked together on the previous hit film Janatha Garage. Devara is being made on a grand pan-India scale, with huge expectations surrounding the project.

However, Koratala Siva faced a major setback with his last release “Acharya” (2022), starring Chiranjeevi. Despite immense hype, the film opened to poor reviews and box office numbers, which was a rare failure for the usually successful director.

Following the disaster of ‘Acharya’ movie, director Koratala is determined to bounce back. He is leaving no stone unturned for Devara, treating it as a prestigious project. A notable highlight of this much anticipated film is a peppy item number featuring actress Pooja Hegde. She has previously done an item number in the hit film Rangasthalam. The filmmaker reportedly approached several actresses and eventually Pooja agreed to do the item song in the Devara project. As per reports, music director Anirudh has composed the special song.

If everything goes as planned, the makers hope to release this item song before kick-starting the film promotions. Originally slated for an April release, Devara was postponed due to the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections and IPL schedule. It is now locked for a worldwide theatrical release on Dussehra, October 10, 2024.

Janhvi Kapoor is making her debut in Telugu cinema with Jr NTR’s Devera. The film also features Saif Ali Khan in the role of the villain , adding more star power to this highly anticipated pan-India project from the Koratala-NTR team.
