Varalaxmi Sarathkumar opens up About Playing a Mother

Generally, actresses don't portray mothers' characters in movies, especially when their careers are at their peak. Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar does it in Sabari, directed by Anil Katz.

Varalaxmi was asked about the same in her latest interview. She replied, "I started my career playing a mother in Poda Podi, which was my first movie. I am an actor. I have to be ready for all sorts of challenging roles that come my way. I have to accept them all. I do justice to the characters I portray. The audience are the ones who are supposed to judge."

She further added that her character in Sabari revolves around the life of a single mother who has had husband issues. Sabari is going to be an emotional drama between her and her daughter.
