RK Nagar Bypolls: Nominations Of Hero Vishal, Deepa Jayakumar Rejected 

Hero Vishal and Jayalalithaa's niece Deepa Jayakumar were shocked when their nominations for the RK Nagar bye-elections were rejected. The returning officer said Vishal's papers were incomplete. He is the second high profile candidate whose nomination papers were rejected. Also, the returning officer said that two of the ten of Vishal's proposers had claimed that their signatures were forged. Hence, Vishal's nomination stood rejected. Earlier, Jayalalithaa's niece Deepa Jayakumar's nomination too was rejected.

Protesting against this, hero Vishal staged staged a sit in outside the returning officer's chambers. He said he had video proof that his proposers were intimidated.

Deepa’s nomination papers were rejected on the grounds of being incomplete. Deepa has left blank portions of form 26, which looks at the value of her properties.

RK Nagar will see a multi-cornered contest on December 21. The results would be announced on December 24.
