Andhra Pradesh Minister for Panchayat Raj Ch. Ayyannapatrudu thanked the people of his constituency for electing him as their MLA.
He came to Nasipatnam for the first time after taking over as the minister and the local people accorded warm welcome to him.
Speaking at a meeting held at NTR Stadium in the town, he said, “I had expected a win from my constituency but I never thought that I would be made a minister.”
He said that he would try to upgrade the area hospital in the town and convert it into the 150-bed hospital.
“I will tour extensively in all the villages in my constituency to know the problems faced by the people and will do everything possible to solve them,” said the minister.
RDO Surya Rao and Municipal Commissioner Simhachalam presented a memento to the minister. Former MLA V.Srirama Murthy, Thota Nagesh and others were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Payakaraopet MLA Anita said that she could become an MLA only with the support of Ayyannapatrudu.
