Amid unprecedented enthusiasm and fan frenzy, Pawan Kalyan’s Katamrayudu has hit the marquee on Friday. The film has already smashed several records as the film shown in highest number of theatres in Tamil Nadu and the US. This film is a remake of Ajith's block buster Veeram.

Storyline

Pawan plays the role of big brother in a family of four brothers. He is a farmer and a do-gooder who saves the villagers from the clutches of the baddies. Pawan has a great dislike for women, but finally falls for the heroine. His brothers help him in bringing him and his girl together. Pawan impresses heroine's father (played by Nasser) and fights off baddies Rao Ramesh and Pradeep Rawat.

Director Dolly has made suitable changes to the Veeram script to suit Pawan's image and body language. He also ensured that the film has a typical Telugu nativity to it. This movie is an out and out commercial entertainer. The director has ensured that there is plenty for Pawan Kalyan fans and the family audience. The typical Pawan-mark dialogues and high octane action scenes liven up the film.

Performances

Its an out and out Pawan Kalyan film and he literally dominates the whole show with his action and comic timing. He looks powerful in traditional lungi and dhothi. He and Ali set up a laugh riot. His chemistry with Shruthi Haasan was also charming. They looked great. The other actors did justice to their roles.

Technical

A film such as this depends completely on technical excellence. Fight Masters Ram-Laxman must be given credit for the intense action scenes. Anup Rubens Music was good and his background score is quite good. Cinematography is quite good.
