Mini Shilparamam To Come Up At Uppal

Hyderabad: People in Uppal will soon have mini Shilparamam in the area as the state government on Monday mooted a proposal to construct one. The municipal administration minister K. Taraka Rama Rao handed over the land to Uppal Bhagat and promised the farmers that the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) would pay for the registration of the plots of the farmers with an expenditure of Rs35 crore.

Along with the art and crafts village, the government also decided to construct a convention center, cycling track and parks in the land. Speaking at the meeting, the minister said that the proposal of mini Shilparamam was of 12 years ago, the process of acquiring the land from farmers and approval of HMDA has completed now.

Transport minister P. Mahender Reddy, HMDA commissioner Chiranjeevulu, Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, deputy mayor Baba Fasiuddin, municipal administration secretary Navin Mittal, and others were present at the meeting.
