Congress Leader Ponnala Lakshmaiah’s Grandson Killed In Road Accident Near Gachibowli

Hyderabad: In a tragic accident Congress leader Ponnala Lakshmaiah sister’s grandson, Dhrupad (22) succumbed to injuries sustained in a bike accident under Gachibowli police station limits in Hyderabad, on Monday evening.

The bike on which he was traveling hit a divider leading to his sudden death due to the impact. "Due to over speeding, he lost control of his two-wheeler and rammed into a divider. He received injuries on his head and died on the spot," said the Gachibowli police.

Dhrupad was was staying in a room at Khajaguda and was pursuing a digital marketing course in the city. On Monday evening he had gone to meet a friend at Khajaguda , after dropping him at Financial District , the accident occurred when he was returning home to Khajaguda.

Police said that while he was riding his bike from Q City to Wipro Circle, Dhrupad lost control over the bike at a road curve, hit the median and then crashed into a cab halted at the traffic signal from behind crashed on the median and died on the spot. Dhrupad was set to be driving at a high speed and was not wearing a helmet at that time, Gachibowli inspector R Srinivas said.

The body of the deceased was taken to the Osmania General Hospital for the post mortem examination. Dhrupad is the son of Koduri Karunakar, a businessman from Mulkunur at Bhimadevarapalli in Hanumakonda.
