Giddalur: In a shocking incident, 22-year-old woman was allegedly raped by her father, who is an ex-serviceman. Although the incident happened a few months ago, it came to light on Wednesday when the victim narrated the story to a doctor in Giddalur Army hospital, Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh. Immediately, the medical staff alerted the police and a case has been booked against the victim's father.

According to the police, Bommaneni Seshaiah, who was retired 12 years ago from the Indian Army as jawan, is a native of Goharpalli village in Komarolu mandal in the district. He has a daughter and a son. After the death of his wife Venkatasubbamma, Seshaiah had married Lakshmi Kumari who belongs to Chennupalli village of Kalasapadu manda in Kadapa district.

When his second wife was away from home, Seshaiah took the opportunity and forced himself upon his daughter and sexually assaulted her several times.

Later, the 22-year-old victim had joined a hostel near Porumamilla town in Kadapa district for her convenience to study. Seshaiah used to visit her daughter's hostel every Sunday forcibly took her to the backside of the hostel and sexually abused her. The victim also alleged that her father took her to Kadapa town and abused her promising to provide medical aid for her illness.

Finally, the victim narrated her tale to the medical staff in the Army hospital and urged them not to send her back to home. The police took Seshaiah into the custody and launched investigation .
