Zero First Weekend Collections Decline: SRK Film May Miss 100 Crore Club

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan decided to experiment with zero by portraying a new Avatar to woo the audiences. But unfortuntely, the film couldn't fetch returns at the ticket window. The film failed to impress the audiences although it opened with decent figure on the first day at the box office. As Shah Rukh Khan's Zero didn't have any competition from other new releases in Hindi, hopes were pinned for the film to take in good collections. Trade analysts predicted for Zero to pick up pace over the weekend. But, it looks like all the hopes on better business were shattered as Zero were slipped further down.

If trade sources are to be believed, Zero is struggling hard to survive at the box office. It was released with amid huge expectations but received poor reviews from critics. Zero has raked in Rs 38.36 Cr in two days. Check out this tweet:

Looking at the underperformance of Zero, it would become very hard for the movie to join the Rs 100 Cr. For a star like Shah Rukh Khan, who has huge fandom across the globe, particularly in Bollywood, this comes as a shocker. By this time, the movie should have fetch Rs 50 Crores in the opening weekend at the box office. Zero is expected to earn Rs 45 Cr approximately at the box office. Let's see if the film can manage to gain momentum over the Christmas holidays.

Zero is directed by Anand L. Rai and produced by Gauri Khan under Red Chillies entertainment. Katrina and Anushka Sharma are the female leads in Zero. Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, the film stars Bollywood stars Salman Khan, Veteran actor Sridevi and few others who are seen in cameos.
