Mahabubnagar: Bheemamma (35) from Kanman Kalva, Nawabpet was killed by Murgani Srinivas, with whom she was into an extra-marital-relationship. The police nabbed the criminal within ten days of the crime on Monday.

According to the police, Bheemamma, who was deserted by her husband got into a relationship with Srnivas. He began to suspect that she was into another relationship. Moreover, she constantly harassed Srinivas for money. Srinivas, who felt cheated by her, decided to kill her.

On December 11th around 5 pm, he met Bheemamma at a bakery in Nawabpet. He gave her a few drinks and took her to Nallaralla Gutta where he strangled her to death by using the woman's saree. Later, he took gold ornaments which she had been wearing and fled the place. The incident came to light when the woman's sister filed a case at the police station. The police took Srinivas into the custody and while interrogating him, he confessed to the crime. They seized the items which he had stolen from her.

Recently, in a similar incident, Suspecting an extra-marital affair, a man killed his wife by smashing her head with a boulder. The incident took place on Friday night at Chigaturpi village, Gudibanda mandal in Anantapur district. The deceased Shilpa (26) was married to Pathanayaka seven years ago. They had two children Swathi (6) and Praveen (4). After their marriage, he started suspecting her ways which often led to fights at home. Two days ago, they had an argument after which the couple went to her mother's place in Chigaturpi along with the children.

After dinner, around 11 pm, Pathanayaka hit Shilpa with a stone while she was asleep . When Shilpa started screaming, he escaped from there. Her family members shifted her to a Bengaluru hospital but she died on her way. Based on a complaint given by the victim's mother, the police filed a case and arrested Pathanayaka. On Friday night at around 9 pm, he hoodwinked the police and escaped from the police station also . The police have sent out search teams to locate Pathanayaka.
