Dr Reddy’s Makes it to Dow Jones Sustainability Indices

Hyderabad: Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd has been listed as an Index component of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices 2016 in the Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology and Life Sciences Industry Group. It’s the only firm on the Index of Emerging Markets.

The company is also recognised for its corporate sustainability leadership, according to a release from the company. The DJSI tracks leading sustainability-driven companies based on the analysis of financially relevant environmental, social and governance factors.

The listing was based on 22 criterion. Dr Reddy’s received high scores for product quality and recall management, codes of business conduct, environmental reporting, corporate citizenship and philanthropy, the release said without giving details of the scores.

Co-Chairman and CEO G V Prasad said: “The inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices was a validation of the company’s commitment to sustainability in all aspects of business.”
