Nigerian Fleeces Lakhs From Hyderabad Woman On Pretext Of Marrying Her

Hyderabad: A woman from Hyderabad was cheated by a Nigerian national who promised her marriage.

Getting into the deatails, Alionyem Bright (32), a native Detta in Nigeria had gotten in touch with Shanti (Name Changed) by the name Basim Karim from United Kingdom. He had shown interest in marrying her and promised her that he would visit her in India soon.

On the day he was supposed to be arriving, Shanthi gets calls from people who claimed to be a part of immigrations, and told her that he was taken into custody. She was asked to pay Rs 16.3 lakh to have him released. She did send the money but then went to the Cyber Crime police. She narrated the inscident and the police were on a look-out immediately. They traced the man to Delhi and arrested him. Further interrogations are underway.
