Amaravati: In order to benefit lakhs of tenant farmers spread across the State, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced that Rythu Bharosa, an input subsidy scheme to farmers, would extend to tenant farmers as well.

Speaking to press persons after the meeting with YS Jagan, Agriculture Mission vice-chairman MVS Reddy said the YSRCP government was committed to implement 12 promises made to farmers beginning from July 8, the birth anniversary of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy which will henceforth commemorated as Farmers Day.

Stating that CM YS Jagan was committed to provide nine hours' power supply to farmers in day time, Reddy said that 60 percent of feeders were modernised in the State at a cost of Rs 1700 crore. Every month, CM YS Jagan will meet Agriculture Mission one day to oversee the implementation of welfare schemes for farmers.
