Bengaluru: A woman filed a complaint with the police stating that her in-laws had killed her newborn baby. According to the police, the accused Chittha Raju and Vijayalakshmi have two sons, Karthik and Aravind. Karthik and Stella fell in love and got married some time ago against their parents' wishes. Karthik and his wife lived in a house facing Chitta Raju's house. Stella delivered twin babies a month ago. Chitta Raju and Vijayalakshmi could not bear to see the couple happy.

Aravind also envied the couple since no one came forward to marry him. Karthik and Stella were often confronted by Chitta Raju and his wife who asked them to vacate their house. But Karthik did not get intimidated by their threats. The three who were waiting for an opportune moment noticed Karthik's absence from the 21st of this month and put their diabolical scheme into action. Vijayalakshmi who did not ever speak to Stella from the time of her wedding went to Karthik's house and acted very friendly with her.

Since one of the babies was suffering from fever, Karthik went to buy some medicines. When Stella was taking care of the baby who was ill in an adjacent bedroom, Vijayalakshmi strangulated the other twin using a towel. Later, she kept the body under the bed and left. When the baby was not seen in the house, Stella immediately alerted her husband and filed a complaint against her in-laws and Aravind to the police. During the course of interrogation, they confessed to the crime and revealed the place where they hid the the dead body. A police investigation is underway.
