Hyderabad: Shocking revelations about the corrupt practices in the Narayana group of colleges, raises fresh questions about the group's educational institutions that are spread across the two Telugu states.

An audio clip of a phone conversation between Ramanthapur's Narayana College vice principal Naveen and principal Saritha Agarwal went viral on the social media on Thursday.

The phone conversation purportedly exposed the corruption and irregularities in the prestigious Narayana institutions, owned by Andhra Pradesh Minister P Narayana. It also reveals how the management converted black money to white during the demonetisation period. The phone conversation also throws light on the suicide of an employee of Narayana College in Hayat Nagar, Sri Latha.

Interestingly, Narayana's close relative Ganta Srinivasa Rao is the Higher Education Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Some employees of Narayana group, who suspected that vice principal Naveen was behind the release of the audio clip, attacked him on Thursday at the school premises. Naveen managed to escape from them and approached the Uppal police seeking their help. He also lodged a complaint with the police against the staff.

Naveen warned that the Narayana management would be held responsible if anything happened to him. Strangely, the management has not issued any clarification on the incident.

Meanwhile, Telangana BC welfare association and several NGOs lodged a complaint with Telangana DGP Anurag Sharma and demanded a comprehensive probe into the issue. They demanded that both AP Minister P Narayana and minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao be sacked immediately. In another development, activists of the ABVP attacked the Narayana group of institutions at a few places damaging office furniture.
