Massive Corruption In TDP’s Machilipatnam Port Plan Alleges Pawan

The Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan promised women that they would get a direct cash transfer of Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,500 to resolve ration problems in AP if he came into power in the Parliamentary elections.

Several public meeting were being addressed by Pawan Kalyan in various parts of Krishna District on Sunday. Speaking at a public meeting at Machilipatnam, he alleged that there was huge corruption involved in the TDP government’s plan for the Machilipatnam port. This must be seen as a very instance of the Jana Sena founder accusing the TDP of corruption during the course of electioneering.

A huge chunk of land was acquired by the government because it said the port was to be built on the Singapore model.

This was found false as the Singapore Port was constructed in just 1,500 acres with 85 berths, whereas the TD government has acquired 35,000 acres to construct the Machilipatnam port which was to have only 3 berths.

Pawan gave an assurance to the people stating that he would bring back the Machilipatnam port to its past glory and acquire land only for the port and nothing else. He also made allegations against the AP Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu of giving more of his energy and resources to Vijayawada and not Machilipatnam where the population has decreased due to migration.

Pawan's criticism of Chandrababu is being seen by many as a part of a strategy to blunt the attack among people against him that the Jana Sena is a B team of the ruling TDP. Over the past few days, this impression got increasingly established and perhaps, the understanding now is, that on the odd occasion, Pawan Kalyan will criticise Chandrababu and TDP.
