Actor’s Wife Put In Dubai Jail

Mumbai: TV actor Amit Tandon's wife Ruby has been languishing in Dubai jail for over a month. According to reports, Dubai Health Authority officials have accused Ruby, a dermatologist by profession, of threatening government officials. Her husband, Amit, says that the officials have put up false charges to malign her image as they couldn’t see her progressing well in her career.

"Some very influential people or competitors who could not stand to see her succeed, as Ruby had begun treatments on not only Bollywood but even Hollywood celebrities," Amit said.

Amit and Ruby got married in 20009 and are blessed with a 7-year-old daughter Jiyana. The couple, however, has parted ways and has filed for divorce. Incidentally, despite separation, Amit is trying to get Ruby out of this case and is planning to fly to Dubai and get Ruby to India.

“I believe in law and still hold faith that the judicial authorities will realize that she is 100 per cent innocent and let her come back to her work and most importantly to her daughter who misses her every day, " said Amit.
