It's Official: Dhanush and Aishwarya File for Divorce

Actor-director Dhanush and Superstar Rajinikanth's daughter and filmmaker Aishwarya Rajinikanth have now filed for divorce at a local court in Chennai on Monday. 

According to reports, Dhanush and Aishwarya have filed the petition under Section 13 B- divorce by mutual consent. The star couple had announced their separation on January 17, 2022 after eighteen years of blissful marriage. The couple had tied the knot in 2004 and are parents to two sons Yatra and Linga.

During an interview in February this year, Aishwarya had shared the details about her marriage, divorce, and acceptance of solitude. 

The couple has been living separately for the last two years. Reflecting on her two years of single life, she expressed a newfound appreciation for solitude. 

“One of the main things I realised is that we can feel safer when we are alone. I like this solitude very much," she remarked.
