YSRCP flays TDP leaders’ remarks

Brushing aside the criticism of TDP leaders on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s remarks, YSR Congress made it clear, the Leader of Opposition was only voicing feelings of the affected farmers who had went their ire against the State Government.

“It was the resolute feeling of the affected farmers who said that Chandrababu Naidu should go as he has been behaving like a monarch and using police force to take away our fertile lands. The ire of the farmers has a profound reflection in Jagan Mohan Reddy’s speech and TDP leaders shouting at the top of their voice proves how desperate and helpless they are in addressing the core issue,” party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told reporters in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
“The repressive measures being adopted by TDP government will be sternly dealt with and YSR Congress will stand by the affected farmers. It was the same Chandrababu Naidu, while in Opposition, who asked the farmers to revolt against the officers if they touch their land and after assuming power, the scene has reversed and the TDP Government is misusing official machinery to snatch away the fertile lands of farmers, who are not willing to give up.
Putting aside the Central Act on land acquisition, Chandrababu Naidu has been converting civil dispute into a criminal cases with arson and heavy police presence in the capital area to scare away the farmers and force them to part with their precious land. Police have nothing to do with the land pooling policy but they are being dragged into it for nefarious reasons, Rambabu said.
The farmers are unable to digest the double standards of TDP government and are up in arms against the repressive methods of TDP government.
“Being a responsible opposition Party, we will not be silent and will always be with the affected farmers to question the State if it forcefully takes land from unwilling farmers,” Ambati said.
The survey which gave 70 % marks to the governance of Chandrababu Naidu was conducted by his son Lokesh and the less we speak of it, the better, Ambati Rambabu said.
