Bus falls into ravine killing 15 and injuring several others

Ananthapur: As many as 15 persons were killed and several more were injured as an 'inter-district' bus service fell into ravine in Ananthapur district.

A 'pallevellugu' bus of APSRTC, carring 50 members, travelling en route Penakonda, Madakasira in early hours of Wednesday,  fell into ravine killing 15 members. The accident took place as the driver lost control of the steering. The bus, with registration number  'AP 28Z 1053' fell into a ravine while taking a steep turn. Police reached the area and are trying to rescue passengers. Majority of the casualties are those of students. Injured are shifted to near by Hospital. More information is awaited.
