YS Jagan tours flood-hit Venkatagiri

Continuing his tour of flood-affected areas in the south coastal Andhra region, YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy visited Venkatagiri in Nellore district on Tuesday. He told the flood-affected people that he would bring pressure on the government to ensure that adequate compensation is given to them.

YS Jagan also inspected Kaivalya river, which is in spate. He visited the low-lying areas, where several colonies were inundated. The flood-hit people poured out their woes on seeing YS Jagan. Speaking to them, YS Jagan said he would do everything possible to bring pressure on the government extend flood relief to them.

Nellore, Chittoor and YSR Kadapa districts have been the worst affected districts due to the rains under the influence of two successive cyclones in the Bay of Bengal off Tamil Nadu coast. YS Jagan would cover Venkatagiri, Vakadu, Guduru and Sullurpet areas on Tuesday.
