YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday said his party would raise the issue of unprecedented floods in Nellore, Chittoor and Kadapa in Parliament. Speaking after touring the flood hit areas of Nellore, he said the Chandrababu Government was doing precious little though hundreds of villages have been completely marooned. He said many villages are witnessing acute shortage of essential commodities and the people are out of work for the past several days.
YS Jagan demanded that the government give at least Rs 5000 per head immediately as flood relief. He strongly criticised the TDP government for lambasting the officials, without providing them with the wherewithal to work in flood-hit areas. He reminded the government that lakhs of acres of standing crops were fully damaged in Nellore, Chittoor and Kadapa.
