Woman Ends Life After Taking Selfie Video Over Dowry Harassment 

Hyderabad: A 20-year-old woman committed suicide on Tuesday by hanging herself after recording a selfie video on her mobile phone in which she accused her husband and other family members of harassing her for dowry.

The woman got married to one Irfan,a resident Yakatpura near Old City in January. However, she came to her parents house in Balapur area a few days ago and informed them about the harassment by her husband, mother-in-law and two sisters-in-law.

Feeling depressed, she hanged herself in the bathroom. When she did not come out, her mother grew suspicious and raised an alarm. She broke the door of the bathroom with the help of the neighbours. only to find her daughter lifeless. They rushed her to a hospital where the doctors declared her brought dead.

Before taking the extreme step, the woman recorded a video message, which was found in her mobile phone, listing the incidents of harassemnt by her husband and in laws. The family members lodged a complaint with the police against the victim''s in-laws.
