The monsoon session of the parliament has come to an end with both the Congress and BJP accusing each other of not having allowed parliament to function.

Be that as it may, KCR continues to sit in Delhi in the hope that the decision would emerge on the contentious issue of Telangana soon.To what extent his assumptions on separate state are based on ground realities is something he alone can clarify. After Sonia Gandhi's return from her visit abroad, KCR is likely to meet her. When exactly this meeting would take place, is anybody's guess. In the interim, it is doubtful whether his meetings with Congress leaders Gulam Nabi Azad and Sushil Kumar Shinde will yield any results because they are incapable of taking any decisive step in the matter on their own.

He continueshis declaration to anybody who cares to listen that he has received clear signals from the Congress high command on the formation of a separate state soon. Meanwhile, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj denied that any such developments were afoot.

CPI leader Narayana also claimed that KCR made such statements from time to time in an attempt to beguile the public and to position himself as the sole representative of the Telangana region. Without any clear indications on this complex issue on which the Congress party cannot find a consensus among the people of three regions, KCR can only hope that he will not be let down again. Whether his prayers will be answered, 10 Janpath alone can say.
