We want KCR as chief minister: Rajaiah

If a Dalit becomes chief minister of the nascent Telangana state, the state would not get justice, said former MLA and TRS Dalit face T Rajaiah. He said everyone wanted KCR to be the chief minister of the Telangana state.

Speaking at Warangal, he said KCR was working on the contours of the new cabinet. The party hopes that it would get a clear majority and would form the government on its own.

Rajaiah's statement assumes significance as KCR had repeatedly said in the past that he would make a Dalit the first chief minister of Telangana. However, post- the formation of Telangana, KCR is silent on this and is working to become the first CM of the nascent state.

Sources said that KCR is planning to have 17 ministers, a deputy chief minister, a chief whip and three whips. He would give a final shape in consultation with the seniors in the party.
