YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has emerged as the voice and the strength of the Telugu people. Tirelessly traversing through the length and breadth of the state, meeting with the common man in the slums and hamlets, listening intently to their woes, mulling over them and burning midnight's oil on finding solutions, Jagan has become one with the people. Standing rock-solid behind him is his wife YS Bharathi Reddy, who stood by him through the exalting highs and miserable lows.

Speaking to a Television news channel, YS Bharati, strong and firm as ever, reveals some very interesting facts about the young leader, YS Jagan.

Excerpts from the interview

What do you like the most in YS Jagan?

YS Bharati: His honesty! He is an extremely honest man. He cannot even tell a lie. Moreover, it is very easy to catch him when he lying, because he is so bad at lying.

Is there something you don't like about YS Jagan?

YS Bharati: There is absolutely nothing that I dislike about him.

YS Jagan has seen through some tough times after the death of his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy. Does he share his deepest fears and troubles with you?

YS Bharati: No, Jagan never shares his troubles with anyone. He is a very focused man, and does the task at hand with utmost dedication. If he takes up to something, rest assured, he will be completely immersed in it. He was in jail for 16 long months, but that did not break his spirit. Of the present crop of politicians, he is absolutely the best bet for the CM's post.

How was your life before YS Jagan entered politics?

We shifted to Bangalore in 2001, and there we led a very quiet life. He had very few friends there, and we had a lot of family time. (5 things you didn't know about YS Jagan)

We used to go office together and go for long walks in the evening. We are a very close knit family and all four of us (YS Jagan, YS Bharati and their two daughters) are extremely attached to one another.

What did you tell YS Jagan when he chose to leave Congress?

When Jagan decided to quit Congress and embark on 'Odararpu Yatra', many friends, well-wishers, and MLAs advised him against it. They had meetings with him for an entire day, and asked him to rethink his decision.

In the evening, I asked him what his final verdict was. He looked me in the eye and asked me, if I don't undertake this Yatra, what will I tell my father when I meet him again?

I thought that was the very, very good answer.
