Warangal Youth In US Shot Dead In Racist Hatred

Hyderabad: In what can be seen as a fallout of the POTUS Trump's hate Videshi campaign, a youth from Warangal was shot dead by unidentified white American in California on Thursday last. The situation was so pathetic that the police have reported his death only on Saturday night after his friends complained that he was missing for three days.

Vamsi Chander Reddy Mamidala completed his masters' from a Silicon Valley university and was doing a part-time job. The killer is reported to have intercepted Vamsi's car and when he stopped, the miscreant shot him dead from a close range. The killer was under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident, it's learnt. The accused took out his wallet and took away some money. The body of Vamsi was found inside the car.

Vamsi's parents living in Vangapahad near Warangal and his sister in Hyderabad have been informed by the police about the death. Vamsi belongs to a poor family and had been a bright student since his school days. He went to the US in 2013 after completing BTech in Hyderabad. Shocked by the news, Vamsi’s family requested the state government to help bring the body back.

However, in view of the sensitivity of the incident, the police have not declared it as a death, and are investigating it as a 'missing case'.
