Sasikala heads to Kuvathur again to meet MLAs
V K Sasikala is headed to Kuvathur to meet the party MLAs for the second day today amid reports that the caretaker Chief Minister O Paneerselvam’s camp is also likely to visit the resort.
Speaking to reporters the AIADMK general secretary said that the party believes in democracy. "It is well known who is behind all these issues and you'll know why MPs are going there [OPS's camp]." She's speaking to reporters at Poes Garden ahead of leaving to Koovathur to meet the MLAs.
"I have witnessed similar scenes after MGR's death too. After Ms. Jayalalithaa took over, she worked hard and nothing can break our party. Such a negative campaign is not new for us," she says.
She also displayed a copy of a letter that was circulated on social media that says she will give up life. "This [the letter] is not true," she says.
She claims that it is conspiracy to divide the party. "It's difficult for a woman to survive in politics. I've seen this from Amma's [Jayalalithaa] times."
