Vizag Couple Held For Peddling Ganja In Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A newly married couple from Vizag was arrested on Thursday for supplying Ganja in the city. The police recovered 16kg of Ganja from them.

The couple identified as Jagandara Raja Rao(26) and his wife J. Lakshmi(23) has recently got married and was staying at Agency Region in Vizag. Less than a month after marriage, the couple has faced with financial problems. As Raja Rao is an agriculture worker, he has noticed people growing Ganja and selling it at high prices in the city.

On the suggestion of his friend Beemanna, Raja Rao has bought 5kg of Ganja from Agency area at Rs1000 per kg. He then came to Hyderabad and sold 5kg Ganja to Jyothi of Begum Bazar at Rs3000 per kg and returned to his town.

Rao again bought 16kg of Ganja from Agency area people and has come to Hyderabad along with his wife. As he was waiting for the buyer Jyothi at Begum Bazar on Thursday, he was nabbed by the police.

The police took the couple into custody and the investigation is underway.
