Unemployed Youth Tries To Commit Suicide By Jumping In Front Of KCR’s Convoy

Karimnagar: A 23-year-old unemployed youth tried to commit suicide by jumping in front of chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s convoy in Karimnagar on Monday.

Deputy Superintendent of police J Rama Rao said that P Gopi from Eradavelly village in Mahadevpur mandal was saved on time as the convoy that was just about to leave the collectorate came to a sudden halt.

Gopi hoped that by jumping in front of the convoy he could bring his plight to the notice of the chief minister

Police officials who admitted Gopi to hospital also feared that he might have consumed poison as he was carrying a bottle of pesticide. However, it was leant that he didn’t consume poison and doctors declared him out of danger.

Gopi told the officials that he was distressed that government is not doing anything to provide job and he hoped by jumping in front of the convoy he could bring his plight to the notice of the chief minister.

“Upon learning that the chief minister was in town Gopi made his way to the collectorate to submit his representation to collector,” said Rama Rao.
