'Two groups in TDP competing for the capital'

“Two groups in the ruling TDP are competing over the place of new capital of Andhra Pradesh. While Sujana Choudhury group is demanding for the capital to be formed in Amalapuram, C.M.Ramesh group is in favour of the capital at Nuziveedu,” said former minister and YSRCP leader Partha Saradhi.

Speaking to reporters in Vijayawada on Monday, he blamed that senior ministers were sidelined in the formation of the committee that was formed for acquiring land for the new capital of the state.

“BC ministers are being insulted in the cabinet of Chandrababu,” said Partha Saradhi.

He said that the state government should create an environment in the new capital so that even the poor people and weaker sections of society can live there happily.

“The grapevine is such that the TDP real estate companies in the surroundings of Vijayawada have invested up to Rs.10,000 cr. A clarity on the new capital will come only after the assessment of profits and losses of the real estate business of TDP leaders,” said the leader.

He demanded a CBI probe on the irregularities that took place in Polavaram tenders.

“Farmers, who give their lands for forming the new capital, should be given the lands in the same area,” said Partha Saradhi.
