TTD ignores endowments minister

A minister is expected to wield his power, if not throw his weight around. But, this minister in Andhra Pradesh government is so helpless that his own officials do not care to honour his orders. The situation has come to such a pass that he cannot even get the desired quota of TTD diaries and calenders.

The minister in question is the endowments minister of Andhra Pradesh - Paidikondala Manikyala Rao. This minister from BJP is deeply discontented over the officials of his own department giving him a shortshrift.
When it came to Pushkrams, he was totally sidelined and CM Chandrababu himself hogged limelight. At the Lepakshi festival, he was dominated by Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna. What more his recommendation letters for special darsanams at major temples are being dishonoured. What more, he placed an indent for 100 diaries and 100 calenders from the TTD. To his shock, the TTD sent him 10 diaries and 10 calenders.
So dejected the minister is that he has stopped skipping important review meetings. Sources say, the officials of his department have issued six GOs without his knowledge. Except atteing some important cabinet meetings, he has given up on visiting the secretariat. Sources say, the minister is deeply disenchanted with the goings on, but has nowhere to go.
