First Look: Nandamuri Balakrishna In And As NTR In Biopic

Hyderabad: National Award winning director Krish Jagarlamudi is currently directing the biopic of late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR). Senior actor Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing the titular role while actor Sumanth has been recently confirmed for the role of legendary actor Akkineni Nageshwar Rao (ANR).

Baahubali actor Rana Dabbubati, who is all set to portray the role of current Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, revealed the first look of Balayya in the NTR Biopic on Twitter earlier today.

Before director Krish teamed up with Balayya for the biopic, ace director Teja was associated with the project, only to drop out later due to creative differences. Then followed controversy over Balakrishna and Chandrababu's involvement in the biopic.

Recently, Chandrababu met up with the film crew to discuss the story and plotline of the biopic.

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan will play the role of NTR's wife Basavatarakam. Prakash Raj, Murali Sharma, and Kaikala Satyanarayana are set to portray some of the important roles in the prestigious biopic.

The film is being jointly produced by Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati and Vishnu Vardhan Induri. The makers of the biopic are also planning to release the Hindi version of the biopic.
