Three of a family die in Vishakapatnam road accident

Visakhapatnam: Three members of a family, including a six-year-old girl, were killed when an school-bus hit the motorbike they were riding on the NH-16 near Yendada this morning.

The incident took place in Arilova police station limits.

The deceased were identified G Varshini (6), her father G Kishore Kumar (36) and his mother G Revathi (56).

The bus, with ten teachers, was heading towards Akkayyapalem from Madhurawada. The driver lost control and hit the victims’ bike coming from the opposite direction. The bus also hit an SUV, injuring the two persons inside it.

Inspector Ch Tirupathi Rao said that Kishore Kumar was a resident of Marikavalasa area here and worked as a laboratory technician at Care Hospital.

The bus driver was arrested. Further probe is on.
