Telugu Youth Looted At Gun Point At American Gas Station
Hyderabad: In yet another incident of hate crime, especially against Indians, in the USA, a Hyderabadi youth was looted by gun-weilding robbers at a gas station he works in Clinton City on Sunday (Saturday night in USA).
Sai Varun who hails from Srirampur in Machiryal district of Telangana is studying MS along with his brother Sai Kiran in Mississipi state. Sai Varun is working part-time at a gas station to support himself. On Saturday night at 8pm, when he was on a video call with his mother Jayalakshmi at home in Manchiryal, a miscreant wearing black mask entered the gas station wielding a gun.
The miscreant grabbed all the cash from the drawers as the panic-stricken Sai Varun knelt down in fear. After finishing his job, the miscreant shouted, "Get out of my country," by pointing gun at the youth.
As the youth was on a video call when the incident took place, the mother at home was watching all this and they called their elder son and alerted him. By the time Sai Kiran reached the spot, the miscreant fled.
With the incident happening in Clinton City which is considered to be peaceful and safer for all nationals, police are taking it seriously and a manhunt is to nab the accused.
The incident comes closely on the heels of a series of violence on Indians in recent times. Another Hyderabadi Vikram was short dead after looting him. A Punjabi super market owner was also murdered last month.
