Hyderabad: Goshamahal BJP MLA Raja Singh has been booked on Sunday for kicking up a row with his remarks on Ram temple in Ayodhya saying that those opposing the construction of the temple are “traitors” and their head would be chopped off.

MBT leader Amjedullah Khan filed a complaint against the BJP leader at Dabeerpura police station with a copy of latter's speech on a CD. Dabeerpura inspector D Venkanna Naik said a case has been filed under IPC section 295A (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs).

"Indian Muslims are not wearing bangles. We will not tolerate your tirade with silence. We warn you Raja Singh," said Khan.

The BJP leader made those remarks on April 5 during a Ramnavami procession in the Old City. Raja Singh addressed d the crowd that it is your government now and those trying to stop construction of the temple would be driven out of the country.

In the video, the MLA is heard saying, "Nobody has the guts to stop construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. A grand Ram Mandir will be definitely built in Ayodhya. I challenge that whosoever tries to stop building a Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, I will deal with such traitor."

"Why has Hyderabad police not acted against Raja Singh yet? Why is Telangana government not taking action?" MBT leader asked.

Meanwhile, MIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owasi chose not to comments on the matter, adding that, Hindus who voted for the BJP would soon realize that their choice was wrong.

However, Raja Singh remained unfazed by his remarks and appeared defiant and said he can give his life for the sake of Ram temple and “even take the life of traitors who oppose the building of Ram temple”.
