Telangana HC: Repeat Pre-poll Process For Municipal Elections

HYDERABAD: Telangana High Court has directed the government to issue new notification for conducting of Municipal elections in the state. It also ordered the government to re-start the pre-poll process to be carried before the election on Friday.

The High court cancelled the notification which carried the division of Wards and voters list issued in July and ordered for the division of wards and correction of the lists of voters by the Municipal officials.

Justice A.Rajasheker Reddy proposed a repeat of the delimitation and other pre-poll processes for the municipal elections and sought the opinion of the petitioners and the state government.
