Hyderabad: A 31-year-old house-wife Krishnaveni was found hanging at her house in Kukatpally Housing Board Colony (KPHB) on Monday a day after her husband's friend abused her.

According to KPHB police, Krishnaveni’s husband, Medikonda Prudhvi Ganesh (36) was living with his wife Krishnaveni in DhramaReddy Colony in KPHB. Around eight months ago Ganesh had lent Rs 9 lakh to his friend, Velpula Satish. Satish, a resident of Jaggayapeta in Krishna district, had made an agreement that he would return the money within two months, but failed to do so.

Despite Ganesh’s repeated requests to return his money Satish never returned the money. On Sunday June 9 Satish called the couple home saying that he would return the money. When they went along with a friend named Balaji, Satish abused them in an inebriated condition.

They left Satish’s place, but at around 8.30 pm he came to their house and tried to attack Ganesh. In the scuffle that followed Krishnaveni tried to stop him and he started abusing her saying that he had pictures and videos of her and would make the pictures of her past relationships, public and left the place.

Deeply aggrieve by his allegations Krishnaveni allegedly hung herself and committed suicide on Monday morning at the couple’s home. A case of abetment to suicide was registered against Satish and the body was sent for post mortem.
