Rachakonda Police Identify 400 Sensitive Polling Booths In Telangana

Hyderabad: Ahead of the ensuing Telangana Assembly elections, the Rachakonda police commissionerate has identified 400 sensitive polling booths out of the 3,087 booths in purview of the commissionerate. As part of its preparation for the polling exercise, the officials have decided to bind over 1,600 habitual offenders.

Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh Bhagawat, while addressing the media here on Monday said that CCTVs have been installed in as many as 400 sensitive polling booths. The election proceedings would be monitored live with the new facility, he added.

To ensure maintenance of law & order and to prevent untoward incidents, 14 central paramilitary forces and 3,700 state police personnel would be deployed during the December 7 election, it was informed. Watch this space for more updates on Telangana Assembly elections 2018.
