Techie commits suicide as his social networking App fails

Hyderabad: A 33-year-old software engineer committed suicide at his residence on Wednesday over the failure of a social networking app he developed.

Lucky Gupta Agarwal (33) inhaled nitrogen gas wearing a nose mask to die in a painless way.

SR Nagar inspector Md Waheeduddin said that the victim's parents got suspicious when Lucky didn't open the door on Wednesday afternoon. The family members had to break the door open only to find the man lying dead wearing a nose mask connected to a nitrogen gas cylinder, he added.
Lucky was in depression since for three months, as a social networking app he developed didn't become popular. "Lucky used to tell his family members that the app developed by him would become more popular than WhatsApp. But it did not happen and he went into depression," SI Ajay Kumar said.
A suicide note was left by the deceased citing the reason to commit suicide this way was to die painlessly. A three-feet-long nitrogen cylinder has been recovered from Lucy's place.
Lucky, is a resident of Swarna Plaza Apartment in DK Road, Ameerpet, is survived by his parents and brother. A case of suspicious death has been registered under section 174 of CrPC.
