Teasing Led to Murder of Techie Sanjay Junge

Hyderabad: Police have cracked the death of techie Sanjay Junge and claimed that he was killed following a friendly teasing which turned into altercation and finally the stabbing incident, near Swapnalok complex in Secunderabad.

Police arrested four persons and recovered the white Maruti Swift car identified from the CCTV footage. Police said that after Sanjay’s friend dropped him at Punjagutta from where he took a life in the Swift car. There were four people in the car at that time who were identifed as Mubasir, Salman, Sridhar and Babu. They were allegedly drunk at the time and during the drive Sanjay teased them on some issue. The teasing led to heated arguments. Mubassir got angry and that led to a scuffle. As the car reached Patny they asked Sanjay to get down, but he refused and asked them to drop him at RP Road.
At Patny, Sanjay irritated them again and they forcibly expelled him from the car near Swapnalok and beat him up. In turn Sanjay started clicking their pictures and that of the car. Fearing a threat from the pictures, Mubassir took out his knife and stabbed Sanjay. Later, the gang fled to Old City.
Meanwhile, the car with the number AP 15AQ 8055 was registered in Adilabad district, but a few months ago a consultant named Imroze Ali from the Old City area purchased it.
Police arrested all the four accused.
