Standing in support of people a crime? : Y S Bharathi

“My family is subjected to harassment because Jagan Mohan Reddy stands in support of the people,” said Y S Bharathi, wife of Jagan at the candle light protest rally held at People’s Plaza in Hyderabad on Monday.

Hundreds of Jagan's followers flocked to People’s Plaza where a candle light rally was organised as part of state-wide protest. YSR Congress called for protests with candle lights to mark Jagan’s one year in jail. 

Speaking on the occasion, Bharathi said though her family has political background, it was harassed indiscriminately. What about the common people, she asked. As per the law, any person detained in a case is entitled to get a bail within 90 days. But severe attempts were made to stop Jagan’s bail even after one year, she said and added that the CBI was investigating the case for the past two years, but it failed to get even a small evidence against him. How will CBI frame Jagan as first accused without inquiring him even at once, she questioned. The CBI filed three chargesheets without posing even one question to him. Spending time with people is a mistake on the part of Jagan, she asked.

Bharathi said Jagan was with lots of confidence in jail and he would confine to his words and fulfil all his promises given to the people.
