Hyderabad: Actress Sridevi, who evaded the question for some time, as to why she turned down Baahubali has finally opened up refuting SS Rajamouli's allegations that she made huge demands for the Sivagami’s role.
In an interview, the actress said that she was hurt by Rajamouli's remarks of her making huge demands which made them to drop her and choose Ramya Krishna for the role of Sivagami. Rajamouli said, "It was our good luck that she turned down the film. She demanded crores of rupees, five business class tickets for every trip and five suites in a luxury hotel which makes the budget more enormous."
The actress said that Rajamouli's interview was passed on to her by her close friends and was in a shock after hearing director’s comments. Realizing that the issue has been blown out of proportion, the actress spoke up and says, "I've acted in hundreds of films. If I'd made such demands, do you think anyone would have repeated me in their films? My career would have been finished long time ago. I'm married to a producer and I know the difficulties of film production."
