The first and biggest ever Telugu reality TV show Bigg Boss Season 1 title has been won by Tollywood actor Shiva Balaji pushing back his nearest competitor Adarsh by a margin of 8.5 lakh votes.

Of the total of 11.95 crore votes cast by the audience of the show, winner Shiva Balaji garnered 3.34 crore votes and the runner-up Adarsh got 3.25 crore. With the announcement of the result in a grand finale by the host Jr. NTR, the 71-day-long TV show on Star MAA, which entertained crores of Telugus in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and other parts of the country and even throughout the world who became its big fans throughout, came to an end on Sunday.

On most of the voting websites, unofficial though, Shiva Balaji is leading with around 35 percent of the votes while his nearest rival Adarsh is fluctuating between 33 and 35 percent. Navadeep is in third place on these sites with 15-16 percent of the votes while Hariteja manages to get 10-12 percent. Archana is lagging much behind with 3-5 percent.

Bigg Boss, the first ever Telugu reality TV show, aired on Star Maa for the past 71 days became a chart-buster with high TRP. Tollywood's Young Tiger Jr NTR hosted the show in which 14 people have been locked up in the Bigg Boss house in Lonavala, a hill station surrounded by green valleys between Pune and Mumbai.

The participant lived under the constant watch by 60 cameras monitoring their moves. They fought, befriended, laughed, ate together, cried and flirted during the show and it caught the attention of the Telugu TV audience like no other show before. As each participant gets eliminated week after week, the show sprang surprises and sometimes left the audience as well as the housemates misty-eyed in utter shock and pain.

The five finalists - Shiva Balaji, Adarsh, Navadeep, Hariteja and Archana enjoyed their final day with all the eliminated housemates returning to the house on Saturday. They were also given an opportunity to interact with the audience and appeal to them for voting.

According to an unofficial voting website - Shiva Balaji, who displayed all good qualities expected of a housemate and played a chef throughout their stay in Bigg Boss House, is the front runner for the title closely followed by Adarsh, who got a boost in voting after his little visited the House.
