Ravindranath Reddy takes oath in the name of YSR, Vijayamma

Former Kadapa Mayor and YSRCP MLA Ravindranath Reddy stole the limelight in the AP Legislative Assembly on Friday when he took oath in the name of late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy and his wife YS Vijayalakshmi along with God, the almighty.  

Usually, the legislators take oath either in the name of God or in the name of one's own conscience. But, taking oath in the name of others is quite rare. 

Another YSRCP MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy took oath in the name of his parents, while another MLA from YSRCP KS Jawahar took oath in the name of both his parents as well as the people of his constituency. 

As many as 175 members took oath on day one and day two of  Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
