Raman Singh Whisked Away To Safety At Medaram Without Worshipping Saralamma
Medaram: Chattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh, who was at the Medaram Jatara today, had to return without proceeding for the darshan of Saralamma. While he was moving towards Saralamma, devotees in the queue were hurling coconuts at the seat of the goddess, some of which landed near him. Alert security personnel accompanying him quickly escorted him to safety and whisked him away. Consequently, Raman Singh had to return without paying obeisance to Saralamma.
Telangana Chief Minister KCR, Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Jual Oram, Governor ESL Narsimhan, are among some of the VVIPs expected to visit Medaram Jatara tomorrow. A make-shift helipad is being readied at Gaddela under the supervision of DGP Mahender Reddy, while Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari is personally overseeing arrangements related to the visits of all these VIPs. KCR is scheduled is scheduled to land at the helipad for the Medaram Jatara around 1.15 pm and spend about 20 minutes worshipping Samakka-Saralamma.
