Hyderabad: Sensational filmmaker Ram Gopa Varma is at it again; he not only announced that he is making a biopic on Telugu Desam Party (TDP) founder Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao but also released a song eulogizing the icon of Telugu pride sung by himself.

However, Varma did not give any clarity over who is going to do the role of NTR but said he will release the movie soon. "I will expose all those who were involved in conspiracies to dethrone and malign NTR and his friends and enemies in real life," he said.

In an audio released along with the song on his personal website, Varma praised NTR as the most popular political leader in India and he was a die hard fan of the actor-turned-politician. "I watched Adavi Ramudu 23 times and used to walk more than 10 kilometers when I didn't have enough money to travel by bus," he claims. I was one among the lakhs of people who turned up to hear him speak after founding TDP in 1983 and now I feel proud to be able to make a film on NTR who made Telugus raise their head in pride, he said.

Balakrishna Yet To Clarify

NTR's actor son, Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna had announced a biopic on his late father a few months back. He said he would essay the role of his father. As the life of NTR involved several elements useful for the future generations and also some controversies, a throrough research was being done, Balayya said.

A clarity is yet to come whether Varma's film and Balakrishna's project are one and the same. According to sources, Balayya maintains good rapport with RGV and he is doing the movie, which will be made in Telugu and Hindi languages and will be produced by Vishnu Induri.

Balakrishna is currently shooting for Puri Jagannadh's 'Paisa Vasool' and he will commence his next movie in the direction of KS Ravikumar soon. The biopic on NTR is likely to begin early next year. This is a big boost for RGV who has been waiting for a project since the debacle of Amitabh Bachchan's ‘Sarkar 3’. He is not getting any offers either in Bollywood or in Tollywood. Of late, he started making a web series.
