Pub, Restaurant Asked To Curb Noise Levels 

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has issued a red notice to a restaurant and a pub over excessive noise following a complaint from the residents.

The notice has been issued to Autumn Leaf, a restaurant based behind Peddamma temple at Jubilee Hills and Prost Pub on Road No. 45 Jubilee Hills. The GHMC warned that stringent action would be taken if the noise levels aren’t curbed down.

Autumn Leaf restaurant is run in a residential area where the management took a villa on lease and is operating a commercial unit. Officials said that the permission was granted for the building only for residential purpose.

"Prost pub management responded with an explanation and we are yet to hear from the Autumn Leaf staff. The GHMC can only act on violations with regard to quality of food and building norms," said the official.

The civic body received complaints against Playboy Beer Garden on similar grounds. On the other hand, on Wednesday Skypak, a hookah bar, on Road No. 12, Banjara hills was razed to the ground for violating building permission rules.
